How to Get Perfectly Hair Keratin Treatment At Home

Keratin is the nutrient that makes up your hair, nails and the surface of your skin. It assists them in a strong and waterproof life. And if we talk specifically about hair, we lean towards keratin that fills the space between the overlying cells that make up our hair.

So, keratin treatment is important for your hair. You can go to professionals and hair specialists for keratin treatment, but this can also be done at home if you follow these 6 pro tips which are mentioned below.

Follow them step-by-step and get a keratin treatment at your own satisfaction.

Cleansing Of Hair

Do cleansing of your hair properly with a shampoo which has keratin ingredients in it. If you have curly hair, wash it twice but for straight hair, wash them once and over. Do not apply any serum or moisturiser in your hair after washing them.

Now, blow dry them with medium temperature. Make sure you do not overheat your hair as it may destroy the hair texture. You can also dry heat your hair with soft cloth.

Partition Of Hair in sections

The next step is to make a partition of your hair in equal sections. For convenience, you can use hair pins. By using these pins, you may separate your hair and pin them. This will help you apply the products in your hair easily and equally without any interruption.

Apply The Commodities In Your Hair

Now start applying all the commodities in your hair. Remove a pin from each section and apply a coating of keratin material in those strains. You can use a hairbrush for applying the products in your hair. Start applying it from the tips of your hair to the top and stop applying an inch away from the scalp. As it doesn't touch the scalp.

Do it with all the sections and then comb your hair with a wider comb. It will help the products to get in the hair in a richer way.

Wait For a while

After applying the commodities, wait for at least 30 minutes. Specialists recommend you wait according to the time prescribed on the product instructions but if no instruction is provided then wait for 30 minutes. This will help the keratin products to absorb in the hair gently so you will get fine results. You may also cover your hair with shower cap.

 Blow Dry Your Hair

You waited for 30 minutes, now blow dry your hair with a hair dryer. Set the temperature of your dryer according to the instructions of the products you applied in your hair. If the instructions mention hot or cold temperature, go for it otherwise use the medium temperature for your hair. You can also dry your hair naturally or with a piece of soft cloth if you don’t have a blow dryer at home.

Straighten Your Hair

Straight your hair with a flat iron or hair straightener. Separate your hair into equal sections again and then start straightening those sections nicely. Do this procedure so the keratin locks into the strains of your hair. After straightening them, your treatment is done.

Use Shampoo and Conditioner

After 48 hours of getting the keratin treatment, wash your hair with a mild shampoo and a conditioner. You need to take extra care of your hair after any hair treatment. As you know your hair texture and quality, do a proper research and select the shampoo and conditioner according to your hair’s type. This will help your hair nourish and prevent them from destruction.
